However, I have seen both personal and professional development over the past year through writing the blog.
The purpose of me starting a blog included writing to demonstrate my expertise, specifically in market research, talk about the industries I am involved in, like start-ups and real estate, or explain how people can use the services that I offer.
In writing a professional blog should, you should take into account the following items:
- Have focus on a specific area of expertise
- Demonstrates your subject matter expertise
- Publish quality content
- Be relevant and focused
- Updated frequently (preferably once a week)
- Provide value to the reader
It is also important that when you write anything, especially a blog that is published on a regular schedule, that you provide value to your readers, and are personable.
